BlueTie Releases AJAX-Based Integrated Collaboration Suite

First Commercially-Available Email and Collaboration Suite Utilizing AJAX

BlueTie, a developer of email and collaboration software, has released a major new product that delivers vastly improved speed and performance to the company's users. This latest software release makes extensive use of Asynchronous JavaScript And XML (AJAX), coupled with data islands to deliver record-breaking performance.

AJAX technology, which makes use of the JavaScript language and other Web standards, was first developed in the 1990s, but software developers have only recently recognized the revolutionary improvements that it makes possible for highly interactive Web applications. Through the integration of AJAX, Web applications can now rival the look, feel, and performance of desktop applications.

"AJAX enables tremendous improvements in the performance of Web applications by allowing the user's interaction with the Web application to occur asynchronously, independent of the browser's communication with the server that occurs in the background," said Victor Pinenkov, Vice President of Engineering. "By temporarily storing frequently-used information on a user's desktop, user actions such as displaying a calendar or composing an email can be handled in the background while the user continues to interact with the Web application."
BlueTie delivers its service offerings over the Internet using the Software as a Service (SaaS) model in which users pay a small monthly fee for on-demand use of the software. BlueTie's current customers, including dozens of service providers and thousands of businesses, are already enjoying the service's improved speed and performance.
"BlueTie continues to push the limits of Web technology. This latest release will provide a quantum improvement in performance for our retail customers, and will enable the many service providers reselling our offerings to deliver a truly outstanding service to their end users," said David Koretz, President and CEO of BlueTie.

This BlueTie software upgrade also introduces improvements to the user interface, including simplified, more intuitive composition and administrative controls, and improved message layouts. BlueTie plans to further integrate AJAX into the user interfaces of its contact, calendar, task list, and other collaborative tools for release in the first half of 2006.
