NEW YORK, NY -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 05/09/06 -- DermaPlus, Inc. announces that DermaLastyl-B face cream on the market for only nine months has already been covered by The Wall Street Journal and NPR selling over 3500 jars. The new genetically engineered face cream has a 32% base of repeat customers that find it effective against their wrinkles and sagging skin. Marketed as the first anti-aging face cream to address the body's inability to replenish declining skin quality, DermaLastyl-B reduces the need for Botox or cosmetic surgery and extends the life of previous procedures when used properly. A recent Skin Tolerance Study of DermaLastyl-B concluded with 96% of the subjects experiencing a more youthful appearance.
Continued regular application may eventually replenish the skin's elastin while helping protect against new wrinkles. Small amounts applied daily can assist in protecting against the loss of elastin that comes through the normal aging process.
The clinical Skin Tolerance Study is available at www.Dermalastyl.com (In the News)
"We have come upon a remarkable discovery. While working on a DARPA project, we learned how synthesize human elastin. It was to be used to help heal war wounds and had the potential to reduce scarring. Elastin was absent in fresh wounds. The injured cells were not held together by the tissues that normally provide support and flexibility. This directly leads to the formation of excess and oftentimes ugly scar tissue. I immediately realized that there could be other applications of the reduced-scarring wound-healing process we were working on and moved to develop Elastatropin from Tropolastin, our patented precursor to human elastin. Elastatropin has become the main ingredient in our new face cream product DermaLastyl-B which significantly helps to slow or reduce the onset of wrinkles and facial sagging. Independent researchers have shown that it enters into the outer skin layers, cross-links with other skin proteins and expands the flexible backbone of the skin. We have a really exciting product. Sales are booming," notes Dr. Burt Ensley, Chairman and CEO of DermaPlus, Inc. the source of DermaLastyl-B.
