Aternity® Recognized as the APM Leader in Delivering End User Experience Management for Cloud Services

Aternity Inc., the industry’s leader in end user experience management solutions for Global 1000 enterprises, announced today that it has received prestigious market and technology recognition in a newly published report by Enterprise Management Associates (EMA), a leading IT and data management research and consulting firm. The report is EMA’s newest Radar Report™: “Application Performance Management (APM) for Cloud Services: 18 Cloud-Ready APM Solutions Available TODAY”. Specifically, Aternity has been recognized as the top vendor providing an APM point solution earning EMA’s “Value Leader” distinction, while also being recognized as an APM elite vendor providing the market’s “Most Comprehensive Endpoint Diagnostics.”

“We drove the research around this latest Radar Report to help assist IT professionals in selecting the right APM solutions to manage their public, private, and hybrid Cloud applications and services,” explained Julie Craig, research director of EMA. “While conducting our product evaluations, we were continually impressed by Aternity’s distinct approach to End User Experience Management and found that its in-depth capabilities were the best way to determine the levels of overall service delivered to end users – no matter if they are running their desktops in physical or virtual environments.”

Aternity received prestigious recognition in the form of two awards:

  • Value Leader – Aternity achieved the highest overall combined score of all the Point Solution vendors (AppDynamics, AppFirst, INETCO, Netuitive, New Relic, and Splunk). Specifically, Aternity outranked all other vendors in delivering the strongest overall technology and had the highest degree of cost effectiveness.
  • Most Comprehensive Endpoint Diagnostics – This overall award recognizes Aternity’s “distinctive approach to End User Experience Management”. As stated in the report, “...Aternity delivers a level of visibility to the experience of internal users that is difficult to match with other EUE technologies.”

EMA evaluated Aternity’s v5.0 of its Frontline Performance Intelligence (FPI) Platform. Aternity’s FPI Platform continuously monitors and correlates the three key components that together define and impact end user experience – application performance, device performance, and user productivity. By proactively detecting potential issues and determining their cause before users call the help desk, Aternity’s FPI Platform increases user productivity and eliminates business disruptions. Aternity also helps IT managers optimize application and end user performance, ensuring optimal performance for business applications running on physical or virtual devices.

In addition, EMA also conducted lengthy interviews with Aternity’s customers in order to further evaluate the ROI and value enterprises are achieving with its FPI Platform. Some of those customers are quoted in the report as saying, “...Aternity seemed head and shoulders above the other solution in terms of maturity in company, support capabilities, ability to execute, and software,” and “The [Aternity] implementation was as effortless as I could have hoped for. During the POC, support provided thorough and fast response when we needed them. At production, everything was squeaky clean.”

“We are thrilled to be part of the groundbreaking research on APM for Cloud Services conducted by EMA,” said Trevor Matz, president and CEO of Aternity. “Our FPI Platform uniquely enables our customers’ to monitor application performance, usage, and SLA metrics from the perspective of how the end users are actually experiencing cloud services. In 2012, we are committed to delivering upon our vision of ubiquitous end user experience management that encompasses every user, every device and every transaction.”

DevOps is a world surrounded by information, starting from a single commit and ending in roll out to production. In this talk, I'll introduce you to the world of Taboola DevOps data collection, to better understand what goes on under the hood. The system we've developed in-house helps us collect and analyse the entire DevOps process from the very first commit all the way to production. It provides us a full clear view with a drill-down toolset that helps keep us away from the dark side. Our KPI's moved from being abstracted ideas to data driven goals, which we can measure and act upon. We're living in a data driven world when all business components are based on our clients action and reaction, why not doing the same thing within our DevOps eco-system?
