PHP Company Zend Announces Update Of Zend Core For Oracle

Enhances PL/SQL Support And Adds Validation For Oracle Database XE

“The StepUp local shopping platform used by our retailers makes extensive use of PL/SQL to implement our ecommerce process rules,” said Mike Bertrand, chief technology officer of StepUp Commerce. “We have just completed a significant migration of Java applications to PHP and have worked closely with Zend in the process. Zend’s support for PL/SQL in Zend Core for Oracle has been a major contributor to the success of the migration.”

“It is our mission to enable developers with easy yet powerful tools for the creation of the new generation of web applications,” said Doron Gerstel, president and CEO of Zend Technologies. “The combination of Zend Core for Oracle and Oracle Database XE is freely available and able to scale to high-traffic, business-critical web applications.”

Support and updates for Zend Core for Oracle will be made available directly from Zend.
