Onstream Media Signs Agreement with HomeDecShow to Create MarketPlace365 Virtual Trade Show for the Home Decoration Industry

POMPANO BEACH, Fla., March 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Onstream Media Corporation (Nasdaq: ONSM) a leading online service provider of live and on-demand internet video, corporate web communications and content management applications, today announced that HomeDecShow, LLC has signed a MarketPlace365 Promoter Agreement to develop a virtual tradeshow and business community for the home, textiles, gifts and decorative accessory industry worldwide. The HomeDecShow is planning to launch by late summer 2010.

HomeDecShow's CEO Mitchel Buchwalter has been an industry leader for more than 30 years in the Home Textiles and Accessories Industry. As the former CEO of Lorraine Linens, Inc. and Quaker Lace, which was the leading brand in the home textiles lace industry, manufacturing table linens, window curtains, and bedding products for retail establishments, he brings the relationships, background and experience required to successfully develop the Marketplace365 for this specialized vertical market.

Onstream's MarketPlace365 solution is a lead generation, social media marketing and comprehensive communications platform that enables publishers, associations, trade show promoters and entrepreneurs to rapidly and cost effectively self-deploy their own profitable, online virtual marketplaces.

"Onstream's MarketPlace365 platform is a one-stop, plug-and-play turnkey virtual tradeshow and marketplace that will enable HomeDecShow to quickly create a portal for quality leads, content and interaction in the home decor industry. Being that the show stays up and running 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, the platform will bring b-to-b communication and collaboration to a whole new level. We expect that this will become the online community for industry professionals to interact with each other worldwide," said Mr. Buchwalter. "We're looking forward to enabling our booth exhibitors to take advantage of a myriad of pre-packaged features and benefits that come with MarketPlace365, including its lead generation and SEO optimization capabilities, live chat, live and archived seminars, social networking, videos, slideshows and visitor analytics, just to name a few."

HomeDecShow is currently taking online exhibitor booth reservations from designers and manufacturers/suppliers of bath and bedding, tabletop, window treatment, rugs, kitchen, decorative pillows, holiday decor, eco-friendly sustainable textile manufacturers, yarn producers, gifts and decorative accessory wholesalers, distributors and others as well as targeting experts in all of areas of interior design and home decor for keynote presentations. "HomeDecShow will enable home decor vendors and buyers of all types to view relevant goods and services online at their convenience with a far lower cost of entry than has traditionally been possible before," added Buchwalter.

"We're enabling our clients to bring the virtual marketplace business concept to the global masses, removing geographic and travel limitations and opening up new business opportunity for all early adopters like the HomeDecShow, as well as traditional businesses with established networks and channels," said Randy Selman, President and CEO of Onstream Media. "For example, MarketPlace365 allows exhibitors to webcast or conference right from their showrooms and chat with visitors in real-time to develop relationships and close deals."

EConventions365, agent for the transaction, will be providing HomeDecShow with additional sales, marketing, design, and customer service support. eConventions365 is also developing the Commercial Design, Architectural and Construction show (CDAC365.com) using the MarketPlace365 platform.
