The other day I was travelling via bike from office to home. On the way home, I found an Young Chap, asking for a lift. I found a bike rider passing the guy and stopped there to give a lift. But the guy who was asking the lift didn't notice it. The same way while I passed he put on his hands to a ask lift to me. So as there are vehicles behind me, I tried to pass along and stopped my bike. But the guy who was asking for lift continued asking the lift, with noticing that I am ready to give a lift. I stood there for 3 - 5 minutes, but the guy was asking for the lift, but did not realize to turn back to see if someone has stopped.
This put me into few questions. The guy wanted to take a lift, so his goal is to make someone give a lift, but the guy who was asking for a lift did not notice that few people have already stood and went. If we had turned to see what’s happening around, definitely he would have reached his goal and destination. Similarly in the Marketing field there are lot of opportunities, somehow we are so near the goal, but are unable achieve. This is because we lack awareness. Just wonder, one guy asks for the lift, and did not notice that a person is ready to provide him a lift, and if another person behind him wants a lift, but without doing nothing, he just notices that a person is ready to provide a lift and goes and tells where he wants to go, and the lift is granted. Here the second guy we can take as competitor. Wonder if we are aware we wouldn't have missed the opportunity.
So achieving a target is not difficult, if we are aware and clear about the goals we want to reach, alert about the present situation, knowledge about the competitors who are behind us and so on. This article would sound to be like a Blog Post, but the aim is to make fresh young marketing chaps aware, so that they won't miss the opportunities. Understand that opportunities don't wait for a long time.
Do you agree with me? Marketing is all about intelligence & acheivings Success is in our hands.
